Handcrafted through a multi-week lost-wax casting process, the sculpture features intricate, hand-carved floral crown details seamlessly integrated into the structural anatomy of the cranium.
This piece is cast utilizing opal glass. Unlike traditional transparent glass, which allows light to pass directly straight through, opal glass contains microscopic crystalline structures suspended within the glass matrix.
The Internal Glow: When ambient light strikes the skull, it scatters off these internal microscopic crystals, causing the sculpture to dramatically illuminate from within as if holding its own independent energy source.
Dynamic Opalescence: Depending on the angle of the light, the glass shifts between a rich, warm amber-gold and a delicate, milky, frosted satin translucency.
